CMSR in Podgorica, Montenegro

In line with the priorities of Slovenian foreign and economic policy, Slovenia's bilateral development cooperation is primarily focused on the Western Balkans. Slovenia has been developing programme cooperation with Montenegro since 2008.Development cooperation with Montenegro focuses on the areas of energy, ecology, environmental protection and sustainable development, in terms of developing quality tourism and ecotourism and improving the existing tourist offer in the least developed parts of northern Montenegro.

The purpose of the visit of the Director of the CMSR, Dejan Prešiček, and the Head of the International Development Cooperation Department at the CMSR, Mojca Kopše, was to present the work of the CMSR and the possibility of submitting project proposals within the current call, which is open until 19 January 2024. They also presented in detail the criteria that each project must meet and how the received projects will be evaluated.

More than 40 representatives from 20 Montenegrin municipalities, Eko fonda and public companies addressed the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Montenegro, exc. Bernarda Gradišnik and the Secretary General of the Jedinica of the Municipality of Montenegro, Mišela Manojlović. The CMSR information brochures and contact details for further questions were also distributed to the participants.
