Slovenia Supports Ukraine’s Reconstruction with New Projects

The Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026), hosted by Poland and Ukraine, took place on 25 and 26 June 2026 in the Polish city of Gdańsk. At the conference, the Centre for International Cooperation and Development of the Republic of Slovenia – CMSR signed new agreements for the implementation of development projects in Ukraine.

With the signed projects, Slovenia continues its concrete support for Ukraine’s recovery, particularly in the areas of safety for children, teachers and local communities, as well as the improvement of basic infrastructure. The projects confirm the importance of international partnership in delivering tangible results for the residents of Ukrainian communities.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of Slovenia and Ukraine, including the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Tone Kajzer; the Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksii Riabikin; CMSR Director Dejan Prešiček; Director of the Regional Development Agency of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Kateryna Savchuk; Deputy Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration, Roman Uzhva; and Head of the Teofipol community, Mykhailo Tenenev.
